Salon buddies for @favoriteanalyst

It started about a few months ago. Loki needed to relax after making the mistake of spending his winter holidays with his 'family' (which ended in another spectacular fight with Odin that resulted in one broken window and a lost snow globe Loki has thrown through said broken window), but his normal esthetician was booked solid for the next year and couldn't fit him in outside of his own pre-scheduled appointments no matter how much money he offered to throw at her. Wanda was the best in the city, probably the whole country, so it made sense, but there's still the issue of Loki needing something to relieve his tension so he didn't strangle his paralegals. The thought crossed his mind of setting up a tindr profile for a quick fuck, but he isn't in law school anymore and that was just a disaster waiting to happen.



Wanda saves him from making a bad decision by texting him the information for another technician she helped train. She claims he's new, but very talented, which he figures will do in a pinch. The link she sent him takes him to a rather outdated looking webpage for the "TVA Salon and Spa", an older establishment that apparently started in the 50's as a barber shop, but recent made the jump to full salon under new management. Despite the clunky UI, he's able to schedule an appointment for a basic manicure the very next day with the young man Wanda had told him about.

Casey is a nice young man. Not anywhere as skilled as Wanda, but his nails come out looking acceptable with their basic black polish and the hand massage he gets to begin with is utterly divine. He doesn't go into detail about his family problems, but the other gets the gist that the holidays were strained and is more than willing to play the oh-so-important role of listening ear even if his platitudes do ring a little hollow.

When the appointment is over, Casey hands him a card for a free deep conditioning treatment or 30 minute shoulder massage.

"These are really just for family and friends," he explains, "but you really seem like you need something to help you relax." He thinks about declining, but decides it isn't polite and takes the card anyway before handing the young man a $400 tip.

The stern looking woman at the front desk gives him a serious look as Casey nearly passes out in the background. "I'm going to be checking those to make sure they're real."

"But of course, I would expect nothing less." His usual winning smile does nothing to lighten her glare as she rings him out. She asks if he wants to use the card to schedule something today. Why not? It's a charming establishment and he has some free time coming up.

The masseuse the card is good for, Bee, is apparently booked solid for the next month, but the stylist, Mobius, just had a cancellation in the following week that fit perfectly in his schedule.

That appointment was the beginning of the end for Loki.

So in he walks six months later, having ditched his normal high-end stylist for a middle-aged man who looks like he works in a cubicle rather than a up-and-coming salon. It isn't his normally scheduled appointment, but his cases have been crazy and Thor just left for his "journey of self-discovery" aka backpacking across Europe, so all of Odin's attention is now on his youngest.

Joy.

If Loki were the sentimental type, he'd think it a shame that the lobby area of a salon is more comfortable for him than his childhood home.

What's a little mess between partners? Not something Mobius has any particular care about. Not in his current state. Not with them warm and filled with the good hormones. His breathing starts to even out little by little, and heavy kisses lead to light sloppy ones along his jaw.

Loki makes a hum of agreement, the vibrations in his chest almost sounding like a purr. He holds him close, but doesn't make moves to grope or kiss himself beyond returning what Mobius offers.

"I'd very much like for you to hear it again," he says, turning to nuzzle into the top of Moibus' head. He can't quite tell if it's the shampoo the man use or maybe his natural musk, but he smells utterly divine. "You're amazing."

"Mm, I'd say that's just your satisfied dick talking, but I'll take the compliment." Mutual handjob does not necessitate 'amazing' to him, but, they both sure seemed to enjoy it. Who's he to judge, really? "You're handsome as the devil and twice as hot."

"You know, I don't think I've heard that one before." Loki chuckles at the turn of phrase, flushing with the compliment at it's center. He's always been more prone to blush right after sex, but right now he can't seems to care.

"Do you have any idea how handsome you are?" he asks, tracing meaningless circles into Mobius' back.

"I don't...know why I said it like that." Could have gone with something much simpler. But there's nothing simple about Loki. But at least it's appreciated.

"I'm pretty sure I'm not bad looking. I can get dates." And more. "Not gonna play the comparison game, since you'd win out every time." He idly runs a hand through Loki's hair, playing with the way it's splayed out behind and under him.

"I like it." He drops a kiss on top of Mobius' head.

Loki huffs at the redirect of his own compliment. "You are incredibly handsome. I'll sing all the ways when my brain starts working properly again," he lightly pinches Mobius' side, "so stop being obstinate and take the compliment."

"Hey." Grouse grouse grumble. He might not take 'incredibly handsome', but he won't argue it at this very moment. Not when he gives Loki a gentle kiss in return, and then rolls off him onto his side, tugging Loki along to face him.

"If that's how wild you get when I'm touching you, though, then I can't wait to play around doing other things."

"Just wait until we get back to New York, then I can really make some noise." Loki turns over as Mobius rolls, trying to keep them as close as possible.

It's hard to ignore the way the drying come on their stomachs tug at his skin, and it's only going to get worse. Huffing, he sits up, dropping another kiss onto Mobius' head.

"Stay put, I'll be right back." He hurries to the bathroom to wipe himself down with a damp wash cloth. It's only a minute before he comes back out to the bed, another clean cloth in his hands for Mobius. "Let me."

"You'll get some complaints from your neighbors, but not from me."

He only makes a small noise of protest when Loki gets up, and when he's back, Mobius rolls on his back and splays himself out casually, comfy. "I feel like you're a prime example of 'hate to see you go, love to watch you leave'. Or is it the other way around?" Good legs. Nice ass.

"Both mean I have a nice ass, so I'll take either." Loki smirks as he crawls back into bed and begins gently wiping the mess off of Mobius' stomach with tender, but efficient movements. The washcloth isn't the softest (it is just a hotel rag after all) but Loki was careful to run it under hot water so it wouldn't be chilly when he got back.

Mobius hums with contentment. Now that they're like this, a lot of the nerves seem to have dissipated. There's still the niggle of self-consciousness, but it's less demanding, easy to ignore. He brushes the back of a hand along Loki's cheek. "I'll have to take it for a test drive one of these days."

"Hopefully one day soon." He didn't bring a variety box of condoms and a new bottle of lube for nothing. Well, technically he brought it for the toys he packed in case Mobius wasn't actually interested, but sometimes things can serve more than one purpose.

Clean up done, Loki drops the wash cloth off the side of the bed and lays back down next to Mobius, scooting closer until he can comfortably rest his head on his chest.

"I'm glad you agreed to come on this trip with me."

"Hopefully tomorrow, or unwinding from a stressful day dealing with political intrigue and your family, or before we go home, or after, or later tonight..."

Just. You know. Ideas for 'soon'.

His hand goes back to brushing through Loki's hair once he's resting comfortably. There's definitely more to talk about--some of their kinks discovered here, for instance. But this is cozy.

"Glad I agreed to throw all caution and sense to the wind and come along."

"Later tonight?" Loki say with mock surprise. "I had no idea you were so insatiable." While his libido could definitely go for another round, he is still feeling the effects of jet lag. If Mobius wants to go again, he'll oblige, but at the moment he's perfectly content to just be near the other.

"I'm more of the 'sleep for a whole day' mind as well." He's younger than Mobius, but he isn't that young.

Loki gives a sort of nervous chuckle. "I may have exaggerated in the heat of the moment, but in my defense I was a little taken off guard. I didn't think you'd take that readily to it. Do you have...experience with that sort of thing?"

"I don't feel like it takes much experience to lean into smacking some asses. I mean, I've done it before." His raises his eyebrows. "So I shouldn't apologize for egging you on for a little begging?"

"No, it was more than okay. Just don't expect it to be that easy next time. I like making my partners work a bit more before I start singing."

"Well. Let's put it this way. We're either getting under these sheets because I'm getting chilly in this room naked as a jaybird, or I'm stealing one of your robes to shuffle a couple feet over to my room."

This would be easier and cozier. Sweeter. Tender. It also feels...big? But, is that any bigger than getting down to what they've been doing?

"I tend to like it when whoever's with me stays for breakfast at least. Don't want to overstay my welcome, though."
